ASHRAM HOME
WELCOME TO SwAr ASHRAM ( Swami Anantram Ashram / SwArA/ SwAr Ashram), on the banks of the most holy Narmada River in the pilgrimage town of Maheshwar, MP. SwAr Ashram is part of the heritage Fort owned by Ahilyabai’s Royal Trust. it is located at 1 Narmada Ghat directly across from Kashi Vishvanath Mandir. The postal entrance can be found at the rear of SwAr Ashram at Jai Rajrajeshwar Chowk. Perched amid ancient sacred trees and mandirs, we enjoy a particularly divine darshan of Maa Narmada at SwAr Ashram. Initiated by our Guruji, Swami Anantram, Narmada Interfaith Welfare Society (NIWS) manages the Ashram, Gurukula, Yoga Shala and its Vedantic, Theosophical, Interfaith Library of occult and estoteric books that he collected over decades. His last wishes, as he documented, were for his disciple, Amma Niradhara, to carry on his legacy.

Amma is the Residing Managing Director of NIWS. Towards that goal, she has restored an upper portion of the Ashram to keep his books in a proper Library room with free computer access to students and provide English and Computer Tuitions for local students in need. She has also restored the Yoga Shala and entire lower half of SwAr Ashram after a massive flood in the monsoon of 2013. Amma initiated a free cloth designer pad program with educational module and book in 2016 to provide girls with the necessary that enables them regular attendance in school as well as a Mentor program for College Girls in 2017. Her strong support for the girls of Maheshwar has led to frequent arts & handicrafts programs. This website is designed to facilitate Amma’s goals of developing even more charitable activities at this remarkable and blessed location. Thank you for visiting!
